Our three girls are all moulting...we had some very hot weather and they are sixteen months old, so I guess it's time. Cjeanr, you mentioned them needing protein and vitamins A & D...should we supplement the lay pellets and scratch? They do have a yard, and go out to the lawn an hour or two each day. I'm assuming they are getting enough D from the sun.
Also, the Rhode Island Red's bottom is just about completely bare, revealing bright red skin. Is this a normal color? She reminds me of a mandrill baboon with that bright red posterior. She seems not to mind...
