Hi,
I recently got a new chicken from a friend to replace my two cornish x that died. At her previous home, she was free-ranging and they fed her cracked corn. I feed my chickens layer pellets with a side of scratch, and they free-range when I'm home. This new one will not eat the pellets for some reason. She loves cat food and the scratch, but they don't give her all the stuff that's in layer pellets right? Is there any way to shift her over to eating (get used to) pellets? Should I start with mash and then mix in the pellets? I got two other ones from the same person in the past and they started eating the pellets right away. I'm not sure of the age of the chickens, but they are laying good sized eggs already. Thanks in advance.
