Someone gave me a bunch of chickens from somebody else who raised them in 4-H. My problem is, they didn't come with a breed name. They are bantams, dark red and light red (but not as dark as the R.I.Red), and have feathers down their legs and feet. I researched enough to understand Cochins have feathers down their legs and feet, but they don't look like the Cochins I've seen pictured. They are great little chickens! What kind, though?!? If their feathers are tipped in white, could be mille fluers. Hope I spelled that right. Do they have beards? Could be Belgian D'Uccles. Don't think I spelled that right either.

Thanks for responding, no, they are a solid color. They are good-looking, a real handsome rooster, but nothing very fancy. (I guess I should have put this in the "Breeds" catagorie, oops.) Pegalooch

Check feathersite, they have all kinds of poultry pictures. You can run a search, or just go thu the pics. Easy with high speed access. (Wish I had high speed access, boo hoo.) :(
