hi i am new to this chicken raising but i am having fun- i got a hen from someone and a ri red rooster from someone- theyve been 2geather a week and finally i noticed the hen acting different . i thought she was probally going to lay- well she did but... the egg was broken with hardly any shell around. do u think the rooster broke the egg? or did she? i am quite sad actually and i need to know will she lay in 2 days? should i keep her by herself w/out red (roosters name).
we have a box w/hay nailed to the inside of coop. she had moved the hay out for some reason... help please kim (mama hen)
