This is my 2nd time trying to raise meat birds. I would like to say that I had an amazing success raising the birds the first time..but that would be a lie. What do I need to vaccinate them for? Is 2 ft. per bird a good amount of space or is it to much? To little? What can I use to disinfect my pen that will kill everything (ex:lice scaly leg mites, ect..) I have raised birds their before and I don't know what they left behind. Is bleach and water ok? 1 cup a gallon? And how long should the pen stand before it can be occupied again? (3 covered sides opening from ground-6" roof covered with wood plywood perhaps I don't know). Is it bad for their health if I feed them Turkey Starter? How far away do other birds (chickens) have to be from them? How long should they be under a brooder?

Turkey starter is actually SUPPOSED to be fed to meat chicks. Try Broiler Booster from www.McMurrayhatchery.com.
Bleach is OK!
