breeding for show

Is there a good source for breeding information, not the physical aspects, by variations and coloration?

For example I've been reading at the site The Bantam Roost, and they breed d'uccles using flocks instead of pairs. Flock one is different mottles, and flock two is mille fleurs and golden neck. Will the offspring from these matings be purebred, showable, and later breedable?

Does this work for other breeds, for example Cochins? I have ordered the straight feathered black mottled cochin, and the frizzled white cochin, and the frizzled blue cochin. Will I want to breed parents of the same exact color, and feather characteristics to get purebred and showable offspring?

I have the same kind of question about Old English Games, since there are so many color combinations, can you mix the breeding and come up with the purebred offspring?

I can be reached via eMail at paulwest@mail.com

I appreciate any info.
